Image truncation, workflow "Check" steps and Adobe Suite

Truncated images are corrupt image files. Occasionally, computers can still draw a thumbnail version of an image even if it is truncated. Adobe will discover the problem while processing making the extra labor involved behave like a "check" during processing workflow. I'm obsessed with creating "check" phases in normal workflow so I can eliminate a lengthy proofing period after completion which always occurs at or around deadline time.
